Fitted sheets

A good fitted sheet fits snugly, doesn’t slip and protects your mattress against moisture and wear. Two things determine whether it fits: the size and the corner depth.

The right size

Choose the same fitted sheet size as your mattress, for example 80x200, 140x200, 160x200 or 180x200 cm. In doubt between two sizes? Go for the larger one: a slightly bigger fitted sheet always fits, one that is too small will come loose.

Mind the corner depth (mattress thickness)

The corner depth indicates up to which mattress thickness the sheet fits. Measure the thickness of your mattress – and include any topper. A thin mattress of 18–20 cm needs a different corner depth than a thick mattress with a topper of 30 cm or more. Choose a corner depth equal to or larger than your mattress (plus topper).

Which material should I choose?

Jersey cotton is soft and stretchy, so it wraps smoothly around any mattress – the most popular option. Percale cotton feels cooler and crisper with a luxurious, smooth look. Terry cloth is extra soft and stretchy. All materials are machine washable.
