Care Instructions for Your NordSleeps Mattress

To keep your mattress fresh and comfortable for a long time, we have listed the best tips below for caring for and cleaning the mattress with its removable zip-off cover.

1. Washing the Mattress Cover

  • The cover is removable and washable.
  • Wash the cover at a maximum of 40°C with a mild detergent.
  • Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning agents.
  • Choose a short, gentle wash cycle and do not use fabric softener.
  • Let the cover air-dry, not in the tumble dryer, to prevent shrinking.

2. Cleaning the Mattress

  • The foam core must not be washed.
  • Remove dust regularly with a vacuum cleaner on a soft brush setting.

Stains on the mattress can be gently cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Then dab the area thoroughly dry.

3. Rotating and Flipping the Mattress

  • For even wear, we recommend rotating and flipping the mattress and the topper every 3 months.

Please note: the mattress has two sides (medium and firm). Switch between these sides for the comfort you prefer.

4. General Tips

  • Always use a well-fitting mattress protector to keep your mattress clean and fresh for longer.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent discolouration.
  • Let the mattress air well after use, especially if you make the bed with a damp cover.

5. During Transport

  • Use the removable zip-off cover to protect the mattress when moving house.
  • Do not roll the mattress up too tightly; this can damage the foam.
